They plow a 3 car wide 3/4 mile length course in the snow and use hand held stop watches to time the cars. They do put out a few cones but they only need 'course workers' when cars get stuck. Classes are FWD, RWD, & AWD and then broken down by wheel diameter. Click here for more info.

The high tech studded tired cars go in the Mod classes.
They kind of look like .22 shell casings.
